Bluebell SAL Progress No. 1

Now that I’m FINALLY finished January’s Garnet Fairy, I can move on to my next project, Bluebell.  I already have four complete stitching days under my belt for Bluebell and I think I’m making great progress.

Keep in mind that I’m toggling between Bluebell and my Precious Moments’ girl angel for my Sandy Hook quilt contribution.  I have come to realize that I don’t like stitching more than one project at a time.  I feel pressured to get them completed and defeated when I feel like I’m not making progress.  I don’t know how stitchers have more than two projects on the go.

Here’s what I have so far:

I am stitching her 2 over 2 on a piece of 28-ct Lugana, hand-dyed fabric from Sugar Maple Fabrics. I bought this fabric years ago at a craft fair. It’s my understanding that Sugar Maple Fabrics is no longer in business and sellers on eBay are asking a fortune for them.  I’d just as well purchase from Stephanie than have to worry about exorbitant fees.
