I know I’ve been away for quite some time. I can’t believe it’s been a little over a month since I last posted.
I’ve been spending most of my time in the gym. I’m following a 12-week program and I’ve been hitting it hard five days a week. My workouts last anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours. On my rest days, I rest. Sadly, I lost a bit of the stitchy bug during this time, and I didn’t even pick up my project.
Unfortunately for me, but fortunately for my stitching, I hurt my back. I don’t believe I hurt my back with the program. I believe I hurt my back going off the program and following a random workout set up by my trainer.
I didn’t feel any pain the day of the workout to indicate I had an injury. In fact, I felt it four days later. And by felt it, I mean, I felt it! I could not move. I could not bend over. I could not sit still. I was in that much pain.
As it turns out, I was off last week on vacation and spent my time recuperating. Towards the end of my recoup, I picked up my cross-stitch again and managed to get some solid stitching done.
Here’s how far I got:
I’m hoping to get the stitching completed tonight. I plan to work on the beading during my lunch hours.
Now that I put in a few days stitching, I feel like I could stitch for hours on end again. That is, until my back heals, because once it does, I’ll be picking up where I left off on the program.
