Cute Bunny by Nadezha Mashtakova
I have a new small finish. This one took me approximately one month to complete. I’m glad I decided to do this small one in between my large ones. It gives me the illusion of making progress. Who doesn’t like a finish? Am I right?
The eye called for a “fly stitch”, which I had never heard of before. I was able to find several tutorials on YouTube, and it looked easy enough; however, I did not end up stitching the eye as a fly stitch. The chart didn’t make sense to me. If the fly stitch I saw, on the tutorials was the right one, there’s just no way it would have fit into the two spaces provided, which required three colours.
I intend to frame this one myself. I didn’t stitch this for anyone in particular. I will most likely give it to someone who has a baby or a young child. I will post a follow-up of my framed piece. I plan to pick something out from Michael’s when a good coupon comes along.
My July fairy is still in for framing. Can’t wait to get her back.
I have picked up my Winter White Santa to work on next. On my next update post for this, I will fill you in on how I almost ruined everything.
